AROOM was founded to be a skincare sanctuary for modern women. We met at our first jobs out of college and worked as management consultants until... our skin couldn't handle it anymore.

Sieun, to remedy her extremely dry skin, indulged in layers of viral skincare only to realize the actives are hurting her skin barrier. Semin, although with an opposite skin type (oily combo), experienced the same fatigue. We wanted a skincare brand that is both fundamentally effective but gentle - and that's exactly what AROOM is.

We believe skincare should not be another hefty item on your to-do list; we want skincare as a relief ritual. Inspired by modern women like ourselves, and most importantly, you, AROOM promises only the essentials with gentle formula.

P.S. The name comes from "A Room of One's Own" written by Virgnia Woolf. So it's pronounced "uh-room (어룸)", but hey, call us however you like.

Our Inspiration

  • Yoon-ha

    Yoon-ha is a ceramic artist living in Seoul. Her art is composed yet liberating, just like how she is as a person. Yoon-ha often works late hours and loves our Zen Reset Eye Patches to de-puff and recharge.

  • Sophie

    Sophie is a Software Engineer in the Bay Area. Her passion is discovering good restaurants in the area and making this world a better place to live. She loves our Chaga Comfort Cream to help soothe her skin.

  • Yuri

    Yuri is pursuing her PhD in spintronics in Daejeon, South Korea. She stacks up on our Zen Reset Eye Patches to cool down after her research sessions.
